Drug Monograph: Nalfon / Fenoprofen
Fenoprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) of the propionic acid chemical class. Fenoprofen possesses antipyretic and analgesic properties and is related to ibuprofen and naproxen. Fenoprofen is indicated for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, and to alleviate pain. Trials have shown some effectiveness in acute gouty arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis.
