Make About.com Arthritis Your Start Page
Netscape Instructions:
1. Pull down the Edit menu and select Preferences.
2. Select Navigator found in the left hand column.
3. Under Navigator starts with (or possibly Browser starts with) , click on
the Home Page radio-style button .
4. Under Home page, and in the bar next to Home page location, type in
http://arthritis.about.com
5. Click on OK, or simply hit the Enter key on your keyboard.
Now, when you restart your Netscape browser, or you've been using your browser and you click the Home
button at the top of your browser window, you will be brought directly to the About.com
Arthritis Home Page.
For older (pre 4.0) versions of the Netscape browser:
1. Pull down the Options menu and select General Preferences.
2. Select the Appearance tab.
3. Click on the Home Page button.
4. Type in http://arthritis.about.com as your home page location.
5. Click on OK.
Now, when you restart your Netscape browser, or you've been using your browser and you click the Home button at the top of your browser
window, you will be brought directly to the About.com Arthritis Home Page.
Internet Explorer Instructions:
1. Go to http://arthritis.about.com. NOTE: If you skip this step, this page of instructions will become your home page instead.
2. Pull down the View menu and select Internet Options.
3. Select the General tab.
4. In the Home Page section, select the Use Current.
5. Click on OK.
Now, when you restart your Internet Explorer browser, or you've been using your browser and you click the Home button at the top of your
browser window, you will be brought directly to the About.com Arthritis Home
Page.
For older (pre 3.0) versions of Internet Explorer:
1. Go to the http://arthritis.about.com. NOTE: If you skip this step, this page of instructions will become your home page instead.
2. Pull down the View menu and select Options.
3. Select the Navigation tab.
4. In the Page menu, select Start Page.
5. Click on OK.
Now, when you restart your Internet Explorer browser, or you've been using your browser and you click the Home button at the top of your
browser window, you will be brought directly to the About.com Arthritis Home
Page.
Other Browsers:
If you use a browser other than Netscape or Internet Explorer, please consult the instructions for that individual
browser for how to set homepages. Not all browsers have this feature.
