Arthritis Walk Events Held Nationwide

In an effort to improve lives and find a cure for arthritis, the number one cause of disability in America, the Arthritis Foundation is hosting Arthritis Walk events nationwide.

The non-competitive events which take place at various Arthritis Walk locations across the country in April and May (some cities may hold the event during other months) will help the 46 million Americans and nearly 300,000 children who live with arthritis take control.

How Can You Participate in the Arthritis Walk?

You can help make a difference by joining the Arthritis Walk which helps raise funds to prevent, control, and find a cure for arthritis. The event is open to everyone.

  • Form or join a team.
  • Choose between a 5-kilometer (3.1 miles) course or a 1-mile course.
  • Wear a blue "hero" hat if you have arthritis.
  • Show your team spirit with signs, posters and team shirts.
  • Write an inspirational message on the Wall of Heroes during the walk.
  • Any group of 10 or more people (family, friends, schools, companies, co-workers) can form a team. Choose a team captain, request a "Team Captain Kit", and prepare to have fun while working for an important cause.

    Arthritis Walk Fund-Raising Incentives

Any participant who raises $100 will earn an official Arthritis Walk T-shirt. Other fund-raising incentive prizes can be earned depending on the level of funds raised.
