Pain Scales: Do They Have a Purpose?

If you live with chronic pain, you know it can be hard to explain how you are doing, how you are feeling, or how bad the pain is on any particular day. Even though it's hard to put into words, your doctor needs to know. The most widely used pain scales according to Intelihealth, which were developed to help measure your pain's intensity are: Visual, Verbal, and Numerical Scales. Have you seen or used the scales?
