Comparing Yourself to Other People With Arthritis - Any Harm?

With the availability of arthritis message boards and social media, it's easy to be in touch with other people who have arthritis. It's easy to communicate, vent about bad days, and celebrate the good days with arthritis. It's also easy to compare pain levels, activity levels, treatments, and surgeries.

Even though the tendency to compare yourself to others is normal and natural, there may be a problem with it. You may start to think you should be doing something different based on someone else's experience. I've given you some things to think about in Comparing Yourself to Others With Arthritis.

There are some terrific blogs written by people sufferining from various forms of arthritis. They mostly focus on how they cope and are generally very positive. Good way to compare.
