More Likely to Be Ripped Off Because You Are Disabled by Arthritis?

By , About.com GuideNovember 21, 2010

Follow me on:

Do you feel vulnerable because you are disabled by arthritis? At high risk to be ripped off, cheated, scammed? Have you actually been ripped off and felt your disability was a contributing factor?

Think for a moment. When you meet a repairman at the front door, does the price of the repair go up once he sees you are struggling with pain? Do they look at you and jack up the price -- knowing you want them to get in, get it done, and get out? Do they sense you don't feel like haggling? Do you think they don't do as good of a job, feeling they can get away with cutting corners? Simply put, are you paying more for being disabled? Share Your Thoughts or Your Experience.
