The Arthritis Walk
Saturday April 14, 2007
In an effort to improve lives and find a cure for arthritis, the number one cause of disability in America, the Arthritis Foundation is hosting Arthritis Walk events nationwide. You can help make a difference.
- The Arthritis Walk is open to everyone.
- Choose between a 5-kilometer (3.1 miles) course or a 1-mile course.
- Wear a blue "hero" hat if you have arthritis.
- Any group of 10 or more people (family, friends, schools, companies, co-workers) can form a team.
- Show your team spirit with signs, posters and team shirts.
The non-competitive events which take place at various Arthritis Walk locations across the country in April and May (some cities may hold the event during other months) will help the 46 million Americans and nearly 300,000 children who live with arthritis take control.
