Rheumatoid Arthritis: Explained With Pictures

Rheumatoid arthritis is an inflammatory type of arthritis which affects the joints and may affect other parts of the body. Rheumatoid arthritis is characterized by periods of worsening symptoms, called flares, and periods in which you feel better, called remissions. Rheumatoid arthritis has other features that make it different from other types of arthritis.

Rheumatoid arthritis affects people differently. Some people have mild to moderate disease process while other people have severe forms of the disease that can lead to joint damage, serious systemic problems, chronic pain and fatigue, and deformities.
