Joint Inflammation is Primary Symptom of Arthritis

Saturday August 12, 2006
Arthritis literally means joint inflammation. A joint is where the ends of two bones come together. Joint inflammation is a normal response to injury or trauma but also can cause problems when it is chronic and unresolved.

Besides injury, joints can become inflamed due to disease, infection, or wear and tear. Joint inflammation is usually associated with redness, warmth, pain, and stiffness.
