Can Shoes Cause Foot Problems?

Shoes, especially high heels can be damaging to the toes and feet. Some shoe designs force feet into cramped, unnatural positions. Small or tight fitting shoes are thought to be the cause of bunions in about 90% of patients.

It’s always been my understanding that most bunions are hereditary. I do agree that short shoes can cause bunions.
