Rheumatoid Arthritis Clinical Trials Investigating Rituxan: Are You Eligible?

Thursday May 11, 2006
Three rheumatoid arthritis clinical trials investigating Rituxan (rituximab) are taking place at more than 200 U.S. medical facilities. Researchers are currently enrolling patients in the rheumatoid arthritis clinical trials. If you are interested in participating and are between 18 and 80 years old with active rheumatoid arthritis, you can take an online survey to determine if you may be eligible. More information for all three trials is available.

sereneThe SERENE trial is enrolling a total of 500 men and women to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of Rituxan in patients who currently have an inadequate response to methotrexate.

imageThe IMAGE trial will enroll approximately 850 men and women with active rheumatoid arthritis. This trial will evaluate the safety and effectiveness of Rituxan in preventing the progression of structural joint damage. Patients in this trial cannot have been treated with methotrexate.

sunriseThe SUNRISE trial is looking for 550 men and women to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of re-treatment with Rituxan in patients receiving methotrexate who had an inadequate response to the TNF (tumor necrosis factor) antagonists (Enbrel, Remicade, or Humira).
