CellCept: Mycophenolate Mofetil Study for Lupus Nephritis

Treating lupus patients suffering from kidney inflammation (lupus nephritis) with CellCept (mycophenolate mofetil) may be more effective in inducing remission than treating them with the standard regimen of intravenous cyclophosphamide (Cytoxan). One quarter of patients saw complete remission after 6 months of CellCept. Researchers also report CellCept produced fewer complications. Read the press release of the CellCept study
