Pinched Nerve - Causes - Diagnosis - Symptoms - Treatment - Risk Factors

Sunday June 26, 2005
Pinched nerve causes, diagnosis, symptoms, treatment, and risk factors. Pinched nerve injuries may vary from minor, temporary damage to a more permanent condition. The term pinched nerve is often used as a catch-all phrase for injuries caused by compression, constriction, or stretching.

Pinched nerve symptoms include numbness, "pins and needles" or burning sensations, and pain radiating outward from the injured area. Sciatica, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, and peripheral neuropathy are conditions related to pinched nerve. Early diagnosis of pinched nerve is important to prevent further damage or complications.
