A survey was used to assess the current status of rheumatoid arthritis patients with regard to the affect of recent medical advances on their lifestyle. The telephone survey was compiled by Survey Sampling, International LLC and involved 500 rheumatoid arthritis patients, age 18 or over. Results showed that when rating overall quality of life (10= highest quality of life, 1= lowest quality of life), 40% of RA patients on a biologic drug rated quality of life as 5 or below. A high percentage of patients on a biologic drug still experienced daily stiffness, daily fatigue, and daily pain. Read more survey results.
