Bush Health Care Plan vs. Kerry Health Care Plan
Thursday October 14, 2004
The third and last presidential debate was aimed at Senator John Kerry and President George W. Bush's base of loyal supporters with the hope it would swing some of the still undecided voters their way. The debate was about domestic issues, much of which focused on health care. Each of the candidates tried to hammer away at their opponents health care plan leaving viewers at times wondering whose facts were correct. The shortage of flu shots this year was mentioned as a concern. Interestingly, in what seemed like a contradiction, President Bush who has long been against importation of drugs from Canada because of safety issues, said they may look to Canada for more flu vaccine. Health care is certainly a major issue this year. Which candidate's plan will best address the high number of uninsured Americans, the soaring cost of health care, and the need for a quality prescription drug program for Medicare recipients? Read the Health Care Plans of the Presidential Candidates The Bush Plan and The Kerry Plan.
