FDA Approves Expanded Indication for Humira and Mobic

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved an expanded indication for the rheumatoid arthritis treatment Humira, to include improvement in physical function for adult patients with moderately to severely active RA. Read the press release about Humira.

The FDA also has approved the use of Mobic tablets for the management and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Mobic is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug which has been available to patients in the U.S. since June 2000 for the relief of the signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis.
