A California woman has filed a lawsuit against Merck & Co., maker of the popular arthritis medication, Vioxx. The woman claims in her suit that "she suffered dangerous, severe and life threatening side effects" that she attributed to taking Vioxx, according to Forbes magazine. Some of the problems mentioned were considered in an article from June, 2000, "Celebrex and Vioxx Issue Rival Reports".
